@dataclass
class APIResponse:
"""標準化されたAPIレスポンス構造"""
success: bool
data: Any
message: str
timestamp: str = None
@dataclass
class ErrorInfo:
"""詳細なエラー情報"""
error_type: str
message: str
details: Optional[Dict] = None

Type hints for method signatures
Added full type hints to all methods: - Parameter type - Return type -Optional type - Union type - Literal type
Effect: - Prevent typos during development - Improved IDE completion functionality - Pre-detection of runtime errors - Improved document quality
2. Enhanced error handling
Implementation file: evospikenet/sdk.py
Custom exception class
class EvoSpikeNetAPIError(Exception):
"""API用カスタム例外"""
def __init__(self, error_info: ErrorInfo):
self.error_info = error_info
super().__init__(error_info.message)
Detailed error information
- Error type (Timeout, Connection, HTTP, Request)
- error message
- Additional details (URL, status code, etc.)
- Recommended retry time
Automatic retry function
def _make_request(
self,
method: str,
url: str,
timeout: Optional[int] = None,
retries: Optional[int] = None,
**kwargs
) -> Dict[str, Any]:
"""指数バックオフによる自動リトライ"""
max_retries = retries or self.max_retries
for attempt in range(max_retries):
try:
# Request execution
response = self.session.request(...)
return response.json()
except (Timeout, ConnectionError) as e:
wait_time = 2 ** attempt # exponential backoff
if attempt < max_retries - 1:
time.sleep(wait_time)
else:
raise EvoSpikeNetAPIError(error_info)
Connection pooling
Reusing connections using requests.Session:
- Reduced TCP handshake overhead
- Improved response time
- Improved resource efficiency
Effect: - Improved visibility of error information - Tolerant to temporary network failures - Improved debugging efficiency
3. Jupyter integration
Implementation file: evospikenet/sdk_jupyter.py
JupyterAPIClient class
Inherits EvoSpikeNetAPIClient and adds Jupyter-specific features:
class JupyterAPIClient(EvoSpikeNetAPIClient):
"""Jupyter統合クライアント"""
def _display_response(self, response: Dict, title: str):
"""リッチHTML形式でレスポンスを表示"""
html = self._format_html_response(response, title)
display(HTML(html))
def show_server_info(self):
"""サーバー情報を表形式で表示"""
# HTML table generation
def show_stats(self):
"""統計情報をグリッド形式で表示"""
# Grid with metrics cards
Magic command
@register_line_magic
def evospikenet_connect(line):
"""サーバーに接続"""
url = line.strip()
client = JupyterAPIClient(base_url=url)
@register_cell_magic
def evospikenet_generate(line, cell):
"""セル内容をプロンプトとして使用"""
client.generate(cell.strip(), max_length=int(line))
@register_line_magic
def evospikenet_stats(line):
"""統計を表示"""
client.show_stats()

"""API検証ツール"""
def validate_health_endpoint(self) -> ValidationResult:
"""ヘルスチェック検証"""
def validate_generation_endpoint(self) -> ValidationResult:
"""テキスト生成検証"""
def validate_artifacts_endpoint(self) -> ValidationResult:
"""アーティファクト検証"""
def run_all_validations(self) -> List[ValidationResult]:
"""全検証実行"""
Performance metrics
@dataclass
class PerformanceMetrics:
total_requests: int
successful_requests: int
failed_requests: int
avg_latency: float
min_latency: float
max_latency: float
p50_latency: float
p95_latency: float
p99_latency: float
requests_per_second: float
error_rate: float

5. Statistics Tracking
Implementation file: evospikenet/sdk.py
self.stats = {
'requests': 0,
'errors': 0,
'retries': 0,
'total_latency': 0.0
}
def get_stats(self) -> Dict[str, Any]:
"""統計情報取得"""
avg_latency = self.stats['total_latency'] / self.stats['requests']
return {
**self.stats,
'average_latency': avg_latency,
'error_rate': self.stats['errors'] / self.stats['requests'],
'retry_rate': self.stats['retries'] / self.stats['requests']
}
Effect: - API usage visualization - Performance monitoring - Early detection of problems
Usage example

# A new way to be type safe
client = EvoSpikeNetAPIClient(
base_url="http://localhost:8000",
api_key="your-key", # New: API authentication
timeout=30, # New: Custom timeout
max_retries=3 # New: Retry settings
)
