1. Overview

This document provides a detailed explanation of the main implementations of the EvoSpikeNet framework and aims to provide a better understanding at the source code level. We will explain specific implementation methods of patented technology, distributed systems, and learning algorithms.

2. Core SNN engine implementation

2.1. LIFNeuronLayer - Highly efficient implementation using integer operations

2.1.1. Design philosophy

By implementing LIF (Leaky Integrate-and-Fire) neurons with 16-bit integer operations, we achieve the following: - Easy deployment to FPGA and edge devices - Reduced memory usage - Improved calculation speed

The Izhikevich model is a two-variable differential equation that reproduces various neuron behaviors:
dv/dt = 0.04v² + 5v + 140 - u + I du/dt = a(bv - u)
Firing condition: `v ← c`, `u ← u + d` when `v ≥ 30 mV`
